At this year's AMB show, Anderson Europe GmbH from Detmold (Germany), presented its latest development for micro-machining.

The ProSys high-speed precision milling machine is characterized by outstanding properties in positioning and repeat accuracy as well as a high degree of flexibility in demands of applicability. Due to the consistent consideration of dynamic workpiece properties during machining process, i.e. the machining of a wide variety of materials such as aluminum, carbide, plastics, ceramics, Kovar or Invar is possible. In addition, the machine's modular architecture offers innovative automation solutions such as the ProTool robot tool magazine (patent pending), or the ProMag, a robot cell optimized in co-operation with our system partner wbt automation for flexible workpiece handling.
The added value of the solutions lies in the fact that Anderson Europe GmbH not only offers standardized products for broad application as a mechanical engineering company, but also, as a key solution supplier, always focuses on the entire manufacturing task with all the interfaces and parameters involved.
A special feature of the solution is based on the dedicated combination of machine elements. Thus, the basis of the solution is natural granite, an approx. 2 billion old volcanic rock is the solid foundation for a reliable and valuable machine construction. By combining direct drives in all linear and rotary axes with high-resolution scales, the highest degree of precision, rigidity and dynamics in machining is achieved thanks to an active thermal decoupling feature. The ability to combine the requirements of modern cutting technology with the possibilities of a state-of-the-art measuring machine enables the ProSys unit to solve manufacturing and quality assurance tasks in equal measure.
The ProSys precision micro-milling machine is able to record all production-relevant and product-accompanying data sensorial, to convert them into internal processes and to evaluate and document them at the same time - in single-piece production as well as in series production.
